What this covers: Choosing Part 7 v Part 8, issue and service, Particulars standards, AoS/Defence timelines, default judgment, sanctions, and relief.

By the end you can (for the exam):

• Decide Part 7 or Part 8 on facts and justify in one sentence with the governing criteria.

• Calculate deemed service and all downstream deadlines (AoS, Defence, PoC service etc.) precisely under CPR 6 and 2.8.

• Spot defects in statements of case and state how to cure (amend/seek time extension/consent order).
